报告摘要:

Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) is a useful cryptographic tool in the encrypted cloud storage. However, it has been reported that DSSE usually suffers from the file-injection attacks and content leak of deleted documents. To mitigate these attacks, forward security and backward security have been proposed. Nevertheless, the existing forward/backward-secure DSSE schemes can only support single keyword queries. To address this problem, we propose a DSSE scheme supporting range queries. It can achieve both forward security and backward security. We instantiate it using homomorphic encryption scheme such as Paillier encryption.

 

报告人介绍:

Joseph Liu is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. He got his PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong at 2004. Prior to joining Monash at 2015, he has worked as a research scientist at Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) in Singapore for more than 7 years. His research areas include cyber security, blockchain, applied cryptography and privacy enhanced technology. His papers receive more than 4200 citations and his H-index is 38. His remarkable research in linkable ring signature forms the theory basis of Monero (XMR), one of the largest cryptocurrencies in the world.
